«A Treatise on Water» — These photos are part of the project aimed to demonstrate the peculiarities of the Russian social character, manifested in the interaction of people with their social and natural environment. Here I am interested in the phenomenon of the crowd, masses of people as a kind of antithesis of a possible terror of loneliness in the face of vast Russian spaces. And the water here plays the role of psychosocial and visual catalyst, which causes an unconscious willingness to put oneself in a situation of loss of personal space, acting not only as a metaphorical, but as a real borderline between comfort and discomfort.
